You’ve tried the rest, now try the best.
Try Jesus is a brand new group of people on a journey of genuine discovery. We have one goal in mind, to seek and know the authentic Jesus. During that journey we desire to build community with people while making a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors in Auburn, NY.
Dustin Hall
Director, and Podcast Co- Host
Dustin and his wife Kelly have four teenagers. To call them busy is an understatement and their life is full of changes and unexpected surprises. Dustin was born and raised in upstate NY and he loves the Auburn community. Try Jesus Auburn has become a serious passion in his life. Yes, he’s had theological training, some of it he even still uses. Dustin does pastor a church but he is no stranger to how discouraging the organized church can be. Jesus alone is why he still believes and calls himself a Christian. The Try Jesus Auburn movement is so important to him because it is about people seeking to know the authentic Jesus together and building meaningful community that makes a difference without the limits of more traditional settings. Dustin also loves acoustic guitars, baseball, and the Buffalo Bills.
Miguel Crespo
Podcast Co- Host
He’s a father of six, husband of one, and a drone racer (actually drone crasher). Miguel is living proof of the power of God to change a life. When asked “How are you doing?”, his favorite response is, “Jesus knows everything about me and loves me anyway!”
Miguel is no stranger to Auburn. Look closely and you might catch him around town. He has a passion for sharing the Good News of Jesus, and all things tech. Miguel loves finding new ways to combine to those two things to bring light and joy into people’s lives.
Oh yeah, he’s a pastor, and author too.
Events Coordinator
Hi, I’m Crystal Lake. Yes, my folks thought that was a lovely name, however it was not so easy to grow up with. I’ve lived in Auburn for over twenty years. I’m married to Dave and bossed around by our cat Callie. I love Jesus, spending time outdoors, reading, and being with family.
